PackH2O met with a Girl Scout Troop this past week to discuss the global water crisis. The troop was working towards their “WOW” badge (Wonders of Water). These young ladies were all quite knowledgable about the crisis and how different countries throughout the world were dealing with the issue at hand.
As we are all aware, Girl Scout Cookie Season is/was among us (I’m sure we’ve all had our fair share of Thin Mints and Do-Si-Dos – haha). This troop, in particular, took some of their cookie proceeds and made a choice to participate in putting their stamp on the global water crisis.
This young, enthusiastic, group of girls donated to us, PackH2O, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled. They were filled with a passion for learning more about us and were filled with questions regarding our cause.
One of our interns, Juli (photographed), had the pleasure of meeting with the troop and said “They loved seeing the photos from Peru”…”At the end, we filled the packs (PackH2O Water Backpacks) with their books and lunch boxes so the girls could simulate what it would be like to carry the packs.”
Overall, we were very excited to meet such a young and wonderful group of girls that were all just as passionate about the global water crisis as us and all of you!
