Alleviating the Water-Burden in Disaster Areas like Oklahoma City

Access to clean water isn’t something that most Americans need to concern themselves with, but that can quickly change in wake of natural disaster.

When tornadoes hit Oklahoma City, our immediate reaction was to offer support in some way. We were able to quickly connect with Jill Burden of City Rescue Mission of OKC, who offered to help with distribution of our water backpacks in the disaster area. The packs are light-weight and ergonomic in design. They are additionally equipped with comfortable shoulder straps, a cleanable liner, and a spout for dispensing.

PackH2O interns helping to relieve water burden in Oklahoma Disaster

Special thanks goes out to our intern team that helped box and send the packs right-away. We’re assuming that plumbing in the hardest-hit areas is making it tough to access clean water, and our packs will help relief teams take up to 5 gallons per pack into these areas.

As a US-based company, we feel a responsibility in assisting with the recovery after national disasters strike. We hope that our followers will also be compelled to help, and we urge you to reach out to City Rescue Mission (website).
